| spiritual counselor ![]() ![]() | i have been loading 6.8 gr. of greendot for 250 gr. cowboy loads. what gr. do i use for a 255 gr. bullet? it has to be greendot.

| Super Moderator ![]() | 7.1 grains is a minimum load w/ green dot and 250 gr.in .45 Colt should be fine for 255 gr.

| spiritual counselor ![]() ![]() | the lee manual says 6.8 but.... m.d. smith lumps the 250 and the 255's together like they are the same thing and he says nothing about greendot i cant remember the rule of thumb about you can go heavier bullets with same charge or lighter .......or what .....i forget.. so much for rules of thumb

| Super Moderator ![]() | I gave Speer Data...they list a Minimum load for a 260 Gr. bullet as 7.2 gr. of Green Dot !

| spiritual counselor ![]() ![]() | thank you! all done with 50 rnds. if i can load it faster than i can shoot it then i am winning! (without just throwing ammo away) thats why i stopped shooting my ak. it felt like a waste of ammo. it's hard to hit anything at distance so i just kinda stopped shooting it. (sorry for the digression)
