Nickle plated brass

I recently found and ordered .280 brass from Cheaper than dirt. No where in the description of the product did it say that it was nickle plated. I am going to be sending it back but wanted to ask a question.
Am I correct in assuming that since I will be using this in the .280AI that the nickle plating will flake off when I fire form it? Or would it stay intact? I think the former but just wanted to know from someone with more experience with nickle plated brass.

nickel is not the way to go here

nickel is just for smoother loading into the chamber
