| Banned | dummy, loads, no, powder Has anyone else tried to make dummy snap caps by loading a round with something inert like sugar or talc, crimped it well, and put Permatex Blue gasket sealer in the primer hole for "bounce?" |

| I just use empty brass, seat the bullet and use a piece of pencil eraser in place of the primer. |

| I have never done it or heard of it. The only dummy rounds i have heard of are once i set my dies i will seat a projectile in a case, then the next time i use those dies they can be easily be reset to the dummy round for a given projectile. What would such a thing be used for? |

| You may want to dip the bullet into blue paint too. To make it look like an actual dummy round so you don't get mixed up. |
