| Billy...FirearmsID.com Feature Article, January 2007- The Manufacture of Smokeless Powders and their Forensic Analysis: A Brief Review I've found a lot of helpful info on powder in "The ABC's of Reloading" 7th edition manual. I got a very good buy on the manual from SYSQS: http://www.sysqs.com/itemdetails.php?isbn=9780896896093 Last edited by LiveToShoot; 05-03-2008 at 09:19 PM. |

| AA-7 is a ball, flake powder and meters well. With a 230gr bullet,10.3gr,s will give you about 850fps.At that price I would definitly use it.I would think it is a little too fast for .454 as someone suggested, but might work in the .45(LC)Colt starting at 11.5gr with a 250gr bullet at about 700fps.Thats what I have on an old record in a 4.5" barrel.I couldnt have used it much as I have used unique in .45,s for years. sam. |
