| Registered User | Help!!! I have a custom 6mm Scott on Mouser Action Help !!! I have just unwrapped a really nice custom built rifle built on a Mauser Action and the Barrel is stamped 6mm Scott Yes I know that some guys liked the idea of seeing their name on what they felt was the ideal tweaked cartridge but not being much of a rifle person my self I don't know where to start. The rifle was given to me by a friend 35 years ago in the Dayton Ohio area. How do I go about finding what will fit this gun. Thanking anyone in advance that might set me straight. I am now retired and finally have time to use it. Last edited by wbales; 07-17-2008 at 10:05 PM. |

| Senior Member | Take it to a competent gunsmith and have them do it. Won't take but a few minutes. It doesn't say anywhere on the barrel or receiver what caliber it is? No matter. As I said, a qualified, competent and reputable gunsmith will have it for you in no time. Better to be super safe then guess. And if it's a custom rifle, very hard for someone that can't even see it to tell? GOOD LUCK!
