Question unknown brass casing size 7mm??

Was going through my brass from the last time I swept up at the range. The previous shooter didn't do his so I got extra!
I found about 34 casings if this stuff. It is 1 3/4" in length, 3/8th wide, with the open end being about 1/4".
End stamp has a circle with a x inside and "L C 07".
I saved it out of the scrap pile as I thought maybe someone would say they could ID it an maybe use it (if it is worth shipping).

Sounds like the NATO mark, which is a circle with a + inside, in which case it is probably 7.62x51. But if it is only 1 3/4" long, maybe someone has used the 7.62x51 cases to make another calibre? Cos it should be 2" long.

I looked closer - it is a "+" inside a circle. Also remeasured: 1 3/4" overall length.
Guess I'll keep it to see if anyone else wants it other than the scrap yard!

Free if you want it - just pay the postage!

You'll find plenty of people willing to take good Lake City brass off your hands, everybody reloads it.

5.56mm x45 nato; it almost sounded like Remington's new 6.8 SPC (almost 7mm)

Thanks for all the info people! I'm throwing the shell casings in the recycle bucket today so I guess we can close this thread.
