New P30, slide won't lock on empty mag

Just bought my first H&K P30 yesterday. I went to the range and put about 100 rounds through it without failure. However, the slide did not lock open once on an empty mag. This is a brand new gun.

Has anyone else had this issue? Any suggestions on what I should do?

Yes I had this same issue with my P2000SK. I found that I had my thumb resting on the slide release, inadvertantly putting too much downward pressure on it, causing it not to lock. That may be your problem.
