You're welcome. I don't dislike Hi Point in general, in fact I love what they are trying to do, but I'd respect them more if they just built a standard 1911. I know they could do a Forged frame and slide with MIM parts for <$400 that would compete with RIA, and I would for sure rather have a 1911 than a proprietary polymer pistol with a zinc slide. I could always drop a few $ on it and upgrade it. Can't do that with a HiPoint :-)
Long and short of it is, I would not buy another HiPoint pistol, and I'd buy a Kel-Tec pistol caliber carbine (Sub-2000) before I touched another HiPoint.
