One word from me- "ugly"

Well, and a few more, the only ones I've seen have been carried by the wanna be gang bangers around town. A thorn in my city's side like none other I've seen. A true Saturday Night Special IMO

Cool

I was given a broken C-9. Sent it to beemiller and got a brand new in box C-9 with all the accesories. Shoots fine with no issues. The web sight says that after around 200 rounds to patch the barrel a couple of times.

I've owned two pistols, 9mm and .45 both worked great. 9mm wasn't as accurate as I would like, but paper plate accurate. .45 was 2'' at 10 yards accurate. Put 500ish rds through .45 without single FTF or jam, except when 10 yr old nephew limp-wristed it, causing stovepipe. 9mm had couple hundred through it with no problems. Wouldn't carry one but love them for a cheap truck gun. My brothers 9mm carbine also functions flawlessly. They are worth the money.

I shot a hi-point for the first time this week. Big, Ugly, and clunky, But damn if it didn't go bang every time I pulled the trigger. Decent accuracy and a good starter for someone looking to start shooting. I got mine for free as a thrown in on another gun I was buying.

I've got a 4095 that I really like. Took a deer with it this season. One shot through the lungs. It's accurate and reliable. Yeah, it's ugly but who cares?

I have a C-9 that has worked great! I bought it used for $100 w/2 mags. Pretty accurate gun for 100 bucks. I bought it to start plinking and have been impressed how reliable its been.
If you have any problems with it just send it back to Hi point and it gets fixed for free plus they usually send you back a free mag for your troubles.

It is in my personal opinion that my JHP 45 is the best Semi automactic made. I believe it will match up to any semi out there.

I would like to see a source on this. I wouldn't be surprised to find a glock or two in gangs.

Disappointing to see a gun owner use this racist term. Do you know how "Saturday night special" Originated? Look it up.
It's commonly used by the anti-gun crowd to make people like us look bad.

yup any gun can become a saturday night special even a glock all it has to do is get into the wrong hands. you can have a 1,000.00 gun and a thief will sell it for what ever he can get and then as it passes on down the line the price will get cheaper and cheaper til it gets into a killers hands and then it's a throw a way.

Glocks are JUST as UGLY. I would buy a Hi-Point just to have a 9mm because they are only bout 150 dollars. It wouldn't be my carry gun, just something to have around to shoot for fun. If someone gave me a Glock I would trade it for a 1911. I didn't say Glocks weren't a good gun, I just think they are UGLY.

Wow, what a deal. Did he try calling Hi-Point? I had four, one each caliber but traded the .40 and .45 toward a different gun. Wish I'd have kept the .45. All were great shooters. The .389 and the 9 shoot anything. The 9 had a problem with the magazine falling out, so I looked it over and there is a very simple button, spring afair that works it. I bent the spring temporarily to keep in running and called Hi-Point. The very nice lady said I could either send it in and they would fix it no charge or since I knew what parts I wanted she'd send them quick. She did. The Magazine on the 40 gave me a little headache so I bent the lips a little and it worked great. These are cheap guns but well made and reliable. The company stands behind them. Can't say anything bad about them.

it really doesn't bother me about what people say about them because it's like when i go mud ridin they all brag about their lifted up atv's with 6k dollar kits on them and the next thing you know they snappin cv's and i'm yankin them out the hole. like i posted before the only two highpoints i', missing from the whole familly is the compensated 9mm amd the .380 and they just haven't been around at the gun store for me to buy i realy qwat the compensated 9mm i can wait on the .380 but i really want the whole collection they are well worth the money. i will put my highpoints up against anyons equal caliber gun anyday of the week with a gun for gun wager thats how trusty i am in my guns i will put my life on them to i won't keep a gun if it's defective and dangerouse but they ain't alot of this jamming talk is b.s

I've Got A C-9...

And my son does as well, both were used for our CCW class qualifications and neither jammed through the range portion of the class. I have found mine hates WWB ammo, it eats most everything else quite nicely.

I don't use mine as a carry gun, I have a XD-9 Tactical I carry, mainly because it has a 16 round mag as compared to the C-9's 8 round one, plus the Hi Point is a lot heavier than the XD is.

I personally don't like the feel of a Glock, though I may buy one in the near future because they still make a 10 mm handgun, I'm thinking of a Glock 29 if I can't find anything else chambered in 10 mm that I like before then. But for the money, I feel a Hi Point can't be beat.
