my opinion on hi points

I own a 40cal pistol 9mm pistol and a 995 carbine. My 9mm handgun has a problem loading full 10 rounds. I found that blazer brass is the cheapest you can go. My 40cal pistol will chamber 100% of the time since I owned it but you HAVE TO use good ammo again blazer brass being the cheapest. My 995 carbine, she'll fire any FMJ 9mm ammo you throw at it, ****ty or not; no questions asked. Only prob is I never use jhp ammo on any of my hi points always have a problem with hollow points. I stick to the heavier grains for my handgun ammo and go light and +P+ for my 995 carbine. I choose the 115 grain +p+ because I like to shoot as far as I can. I know people say different **** about firing +p+ but its only a hi point($150) and the manufacturer will replace it.

If I could only choose one of the three Id keep the carbine.. Its worth the change..+ I love supporting my fellow ohioans. I dont know why people spenda all that money on a cx4 storm to shoot a handgun round. **** for that kinda money I'd get a 308 or 270 saiga with a couple of extra rounds.

I dont think Obamas going to do all the **** that the gun dealers say he is. When they put that **** out there the demand for their guns go up and so does the price. Obama wouldnt piss of the whole country. He aint stupid. Hell, half the guys that voted for him are gun owners. And yes I did vote for him.

Never owned any of the pistols but recently bought a 995 carbine. Quite inexpensive (not cheap), well made and very accurate out to 50 yards. With a "no questions asked" warrenty and very responsive customer service record, this fun gun has made it's mark in my family. My kids and grandchildren want another carbine to shoot and I might just try and find one in .40 caliber.

My opinion is to quit listening to those people that have heard someone say negative things about Hi-Point and either read the articles in several gun magazines that are very supportive of Hi-Point or take the time to shoot or buy one yourself. Then you will see why they have become so popular.

Because if you are, I'd question why the hell you voted for him, as did several gun owners. His record on gun rights was right out there for anyone to see, it frankly made me mad that fellow gun owners who supported him wouldn't even look at the writing on the wall about his record

IF he has no desire to limit gun rights, why did the Brady Campaign support his candidacy? Why did the American Hunters & Shooters Association, started by a former Brady Campaign leader who didn't think they wet far enough to limit gun rights support him?

WHY weren't you an intelligent enough voter to actually do the research on him and his record, instead of listening to the idiotic "hope and change" mantra?

His own statements, while claiming he was a constitutional professor, made clear he feels there are sections of the constitution that need changed, not by amendment, but by the leadership of this country without input from the citizens. And with the simple passage of treaties he supports that we ratify, we see the 2nd amendment revoked. His own attorney general wants to return the assault weapon ban to our country, as does the leadership of his party in Congress. And you think it's hype to sell guns? I guess that makes sense, you bought into his BS and voted for him!

Friend if you haven't noticed and I think you haven't, look at the people he has place in key postion to move gun control forward. Obama doesn't have to say nor do a thing but approval or veto any Bill that comes on his desk. the ones he placed in those position are doing his biding without him getting his hands dirty. Holder Attorny General and his latest supreme court pick should tell you something. However I do not forsee any attemp on the second amendment until after the mid term election.

My hunting buddy who has an ffl buys 9 of the 45 caliber pistols once a year to sell and he's never had one returned.
I've had the opportunity to shoot a few of them and I can say everyone of them have been very accurate...A.H

1) What does this have to do with the topic?

2) Why wouldnt he piss everyone off? Remember the Clinton administration and the whole Brady bill B.S? I'm afraid history may indeed repeat itself, in any case I'll err on the side of caution and get what I can while I can still get it.

They are very ...big, but they do work better than others. I'm a 1911 guy. Try the Rock Island.

Big, ugly, reliable pistol

My .45 JHP works beautifully. When my Ruger stopped firing in SA mode, my Taurus began to fail to feed 50% of the time, my Hi Point just kept on firing accurately and reliably. Point. Shoot. BOOM. Repeat.

I have both the .40 pistol and carbine and they have performed flawlessly over the past couple of years. I would trust my life(and my family's lives) to either of them. They may not be the fanciest or prettiest gun out there but then again I did not buy them for some kind of beauty contest. I bought them to go bang every time I pull the trigger and that they do exceptionally well.

I have a 9mm compact pistol and am planning on putting it to a endurance test. I have heard roumers that it is a 250 round pistol but I have about 2000 rounds collected up and am going to feed it until it breaks, then send it back to be repaired. And I think I am going ti mark it so I can be sure I am getting the same gun back. So far I have no issues with it besides some feed issues witch were related to the magazine bot being loaded correctly. Once I showed my daughter how to load it correctly there were no problems. I also have a 995 that I have had no problems with.
I think all the BS about Hi-Points being **** is just alot of bunk.

I have put well over 5000 rounds through my high point .40 and the only issue I have had are squib loads. It is the second most abused firearm in my collection, I have no doubt it will go bang everytime.
