Need some help

I bought a new 9mm carbine about 2- 3 years ago put it in the safe never fired it,got it out today and notice there is no operating handle I will call Hi Point tomorrow to get the part my question is I see where the handle goes but I dont know how it goes in, is it threaded? do i need another part to keep the handle in place.

They screw in with a slave bolt...it should be on the charging handle when ya get it.

This is a very helpful video showing step by step disassembly of a 995.
The part showing removal of the charging handle is at minute 2:08 of the Vid.
