Missed this when you posted I guess Jerry. Glad dad's revolver has a stable mate. I've seen a few High Standard pistols recently at the DFW area gunshows, but boy have they gotten pricey.
I had a double-nine,terrific revolver,fired thousands of rounds until the front sight fell off and I lost it.
I made another and pressed on.
The gun was stolen when my home was burglerized,grrrrrr!

If you reported it, hopefully it'll make its way back one day
Make sure you send the serial to the BATF as well as the Locals...
sooner or later it'll pop up at a pawn shop or a police buy-back and come home

I reported it and the insurance co. conveniently lost the first page of the report which had the guns,sent a puny check,but after I got their minds right they found it and paid well.
No,I never heard about it or the Browning Hi-Power that went with it.
I 'spect that is all water under the bridge.
