Over 1 year now waiting for repair.

It's been maybe 16 months now since I sent my kit gun in for repair. It still ain't back. Everytime I call them they say they will get on it but it still ain't here yet.

Do one of two things...

Write a polite letter to the CEO of HS explaining your dilemma.
or
Request they send your gun back to you.

Do both if you like.

You may want to file a complaint with the BBB in Houston but do so before you accomplish the above mentioned methods; give the BBB a chance to resolve the situation. Businesses don't like BBB intervention...it's a black mark.

You have let this go on way too long. Their web-site states they have the best facilitiy and armorers; obviously this is not true.

You are the customer, you should be the one in control; stop letting them dictate to you. Most of all...stop working with customer service...they get their responses from a three-ring binder...GO TO THE TOP!

Listen to "Pappy" and pay attention...I've been there and I've done that...it works quite well.

They got back to me. It is junk. They graciously offered me $80 for the 22lr kit gun I sent in. They are going to use it for "parts". I took it as it would cost me $20 to have it shipped back to me for what? I paid 2 or 3 hundred for the piece of junk a year ago. I knew it was sloppy but figured it could be fixed. If I was the dealer I bought it from I would be ashamed that I sold this to someone. I'll let him know soon. Under the circumstances I guess I'm okay.
Regards, me, the dumb bass.

It took them 16 months to figger out it was FUBAR? I'd be about as suspicious as a maiden in a Dragoons barracks.

I think I'd have raised quite a stink about the time they had the gun (in a nice calm way though), and see what they would have done in compensation - other than what they offered you.

I repeat post #4.

Just what was it they could not repair? On a revolver? There's not much on a revolver that can't be repaired. Who made the 'junk' call, you or them?

Use it for parts...yeah, right...I think they lost it.

I think you got screwed by HS. The wrong thing to do was to take the $80 for a handgun you paid 3x that...you let them off the hook, way too easily.

Don't be blaming the dealer unless he twisted your arm to buy the thing. True, he should have warned you, but you should have been more diligent in checking it out before you bought it. Caveat Emptor!

That's what I'd like to know. They didn't say what couldn't be fixed. The cylinder was sloppy but I figured that was okay & I could live with it but I had the rear sight all the way hanging off the right as far as it could go and it still shot a foot left or however it works out. That is mainly what I wanted fixed.
