| German Nazi holster ? Hi,Looking for any information on a holster I have :-Brown soft leather, 18 cms long and 13 cms wide at top. It has a top flap and a restraining strap going up from the side to a steel stud on the top flap. It has a spare magazine pouch on one side. The top flap is stamped with the German eagle above a small swaztika. Underneath the swaztika it bears the stamp WaAD20. Holster shows some minor scuffs but all the stiching is intact and overall is in very good condition. |

| Hi JoeLee,Thanks for the info. It isn't from a Luger. The ones on Phoenix are quite different. I think my holster is from either a Walther PP or a Sauer. Could have been issued to the German Navy. Hopefully I can get some photos posted tomorrow. I had to register on the other site you sent, so I will check that when I gain access. Last edited by KODIAK BEAR; 05-22-2007 at 01:25 AM. |

| Okay, I just tossed "WaAD20" onto google... French <--Look Familiar? By the below links, it appears to be a Waffen acceptance proof mark: STAR 400 9mm with waffenampts - Topic Powered by eve community GunBroker.com Item 64972294 [Ends Feb-11-07 09:30:58 PM] Astra 600 Nazi WaAD20 9mm WW2 Pistol 9 mm WWII GunBroker.com Item 71402380 [Ends May-12-07 12:39:14 AM] Astra 600 Nazi WWII Contract 9mm Luger Not sure exactly what pistol that would go to, but I keep seeing the "Astra 600" mentioned in relation to the proof mark.

| Hi,Thanks for everyone's input. The holster has been identified as one made for one of the following 3 pistols :Unique Model 17.Unique Kriegsmodell.MAB D.Apparently it was made in occupied France for the Germans, hence the acceptance marks.

| Ah, so my link titled "French" was dead-on, as it mentions those three pistols exactly. Sweet!

| I have the exact same thing at home..it also should have a date stamped on the back...that is a standerd nazi troop issue sidearm holster...for the luger p-38 (ac-44 issue model) which is late WWII around 1943 - 45 (check the back for an issue date). Worth about $50 to a collector....I have one exactly like it from a 1944 issue luger (with original clips and bullets...now green) that an 85 year old friend gave me he brought back from germany at the end of the war...he took it off a dead corporal.
