| Registered User | I'm looking for recommendations on a concealed carry holster for a Kimber Eclipse Ultra 3" 1911. I'm open to almost all types - belt, IWB, shoulder, SoB, etc - except for the pocket and ankle holsters. And although it's not a requirement, I would like something relatively soft, for comfort and to maintain the finish on the gun. Cost isn't a factor (as long as it's not a $500 gator holster, or the like Feel free to recommend more than one, but if you have a favorite among them do let me know. Thanks http://www.gunshopfinder.com/Kimber/eclipseultra2.jpg |

| Senior Member | For my Ultra CDPII I bought a Bianchi 106 Minimalist. I think it's a great holster. It has snaps that suppose to make it easier to take on and off. That's good for me because I'm left handed. Otherwise I wouldn't worry about the snaps.

| Registered User | How soft is the 106 Minimalist? I'm looking for something that uses good quality leather. I was thinking about going with the Galco Royal Deluxe, which claims to be easy on the gun and flexible. |

| Senior Member | I went with the pager pal concealed holster. You can remove the pager and place your cell phone in it's place. it works well for me here in Las Vegas since the temps are so high and wearing a jacket during the summer is not an option. Also I can not wear my shirts untucked as I work in an office enviorment. The holster attaches to your waistband and you can slide it around with no problems. Sitting is not bad at all as the holster will adjust without cutting into your stomach or groin area. I tried the Thunderwear but did not like it. You really can't notice that you are carrying with it even when wearing dress pants and that is why I like it. When I am not carrying concealed I use the Galco silhouette. That way I can carry any one of my three Kimbers. Scott |

I don't have any experience with the Galco. The Bianchi seems like every other leather holster to me as far as quality and stiffness of leather. I wouldn't call it soft, but I think it's high quality leather. I've sat for hours with it on and couldn't tell it was there.

| Senior Member | The pager pal is pretty comfortable believe it or not. Because it is attached to your pants it shifts when you sit down unlike the Thunderwear that I had. I don't wear any type of OWB holster to work as I don't want to take the chance of alarming anyone in the office if they were to see any shape resembling a pistol butt. |
