| Senior Member ![]() | Feds Investigate Sandwich Stolen From Break Room Posted: 12:09 p.m. EST March 5, 2003 DES MOINES, Iowa -- Who took the peanut butter sandwich? It may be too sticky a case for police in Des Moines, so they've turned it over to the federal Transportation Security Administration. Christine Woods says her sandwich was taken from a break room at the Des Moines airport. The only ones who have access to the room are 16 federal security workers. They have to punch a code into a keypad to get in. Police Lt. David Huberty says the theft of a sandwich is still a theft. But he says if he were to send a detective to interview 16 people about it -- it would be an "inappropriate use of resources." The woman whose sandwich is gone says she's afraid a wallet or purse could disappear next time. Copyright 2003 by The Associated Press. All rights reserved. | Senior Member | Oh for Christs sake! "The woman whose sandwich is gone says she's afraid a wallet or purse could disappear next time." This petty sh*t is newsworthy why? I'd bet her sammich was given the dumpster ride as she is not well liked by her co-workers.

| Super Moderator ![]() ![]() | Mick: Ok...I'll make sure that Victoria Bitter gets on my menu when down under. I'm taking your word for this. Bet it's a strong tasting dark beer. As long as it's served frosty cold it'll be good. Just got a letter this morning from one of my five upcoming hosts who lives near Maffra, Victoria which must be close to Heyfield. He had an interesting comment. Part of his letter was as follows: "...Our little town of Heyfield (population about 2,000 people) is hosting a National Rally of Historical Farm Machinery. We're expecting 30,000 visitors in the town. I have two old engines in the rally. But they are insignificant in the midst of 700 exhibits, some with 10 or more items - ranging from a steam train and traction engines, to old tractors, stationary engines, horse-drawn vehicles, old trucks and models." What do you know about this event? This is happening during the next week so it's before I'll be there. We're leaving our home March 27th. Take care and have a Victoria Bitter on me. Wish I would be in your neighborhood because I'd buy you a case of that stuff to celebrate our acquaintance. Of course, I would guess you prefer xxxx beer.(ha) Ox
