TODAY WE BESTOW FOUR BONEHEAD AWARDS

If You’re Stupid And You Know It … Raise Your Hand

Bonehead award one, a “too dumb to be a criminal” bonehead award, goes to a pair of men who had beaten and robbed a woman and who were present in the courtroom while the district attorney was seeking their conviction. And who, in response to the prosecutor asking the victim, “and are the two perpetrators of this terrible crime present in the courtroom today?” proceeded to raise their hands and say, “here, your honor.”

They were convicted.

Bonehead award two, another “too dumb to be a criminal” bonehead award, goes to a Virginia bank robber who proceeded to rob a bank teller even though a photographer, with a tripod, flashes and bright lights, was busy taking a series of pictures of a bank executive right in front of him, according to police who say the entire robbery had therefore been recorded and they could easily recognize the suspect from the pictures.

Man Not Expecting A New UNDERGROUND Disabled Parking Bay

Bonehead award three, a “government as good as it gets” bonehead award goes to the Weymouth and Portland Borough Council in UK.

78-year-old Ken Stevenson waited a year for the council to paint a “disabled parking bay” outside his house only to see the council come down the next day and pave over it.

Says the retired transport manager: “Of course I was thrilled when I saw the road crew finally painting the new bay. Particularly as it had taken so long. But they turned up again the next day and now my bay has gone.”
