Don`t be too hard on yourself

Because, the Titanic was built by pro`s, amateur`s built the Arc.

Thumbs up

That's definitely something worth thinking about when I'm in the middle of a lake tomorrow in my old 16' aluminum modified deep V fishing boat.

I've installed the drain plug in it's bottom which hasn't leaked yet. And...it's bench seats have starfoam underneath which would prevent it from sinking. But...the boat operator has to use common sense, too. Therefore, my lifejacket is almost always worn as a safety precaution. And I have throw cushions on hand, too.

Tomorrow I'm taking a much older gentleman fishing with me, possibly for his last time ever in his lifetime. He's around 89 years old and doesn't move around well. But...he's been wanting to go fishing just one more time. If I can get him into the boat without falling overboard, and keep him from standing up and falling, I'm hoping I can have the pleasure of providing him with what most likely will be his last fishing trip.

Damn! It's both sad and scary thinking about a person doing something they've enjoyed througout their life for their last time. Life on earth definitely is too short!

A very good thing to be doing, Ox. May I suggest you take one more person? You don't want to make him feel smothered, but it would make it a lot easier to be sure someone is within arm's reach of the gentleman at all times.

And he may fool you; you could wind up with a fishing buddy for a while.
