Things you got rid of

What are some of the things you've got rid of or threw away and now you wished you hadn't of ?

In my case I wish I had never traded my 1st. shotgun for another one.

And I wish I had never threw away over 20 years of saveing my copys of Gun's and Ammo,
Out Door Life, Field and Stream, Sports Afield,
Shooting Times and a few others.
I had a 12 X 12 room filled with packing boxes full of these magazines.
I stacked them beside a dumpster 4 years ago.
I sure wish I kept all of them...A.H

I'm a little partial to my old 66 mustang project that I sold to buy a ring and pay for married life. But in the end its been worth it.

Every gun I ever sold or traded, with the exception of a no-name .22 revolver that was a total piece of krap! I also miss my '68 4-dr T-Bird, and my dog "Buddy" that we gave away so my wife could ride with me on the truck full-time. Shortly after, her back got so bad she couldn't ride with me anymore. I also miss my sanity, but I can't remember when or where I lost it!

If I had my first car I would be well off...1969 Mustang Mach 1 with the "real" shaker ram air scoop and 428 Super Cobra engine it had an 850 dual line Holly carb.
C-6 automatic transmisson with a B&M valve that no car in my city could touch the 5 years I owned it.
I have yet to see one on the Barrett Jackson Auction !!!...A.H

A.H. my best friend went with me when I went to look at the 1949 F-1 that I eventually bought and spotted an old FE engine laying in the corner of the shop. The owner told him it was a 428 and he bought it on the spot. It turned out to be a 428 CJ and about $800 later, he was stuffing into his '74 LWB Ford F-150 "Camper Special"(even had the cab marker lights), wanna know what happened next? I'll give ya a clue, bets against "old farm trucks" became very unpopular in our area for a while! Meanwhile, I traded the old 390 that was in my '49 for the 600+ hp. 429 that came out of my T-Bird and it got real interesting...

'58 Chevy Apache. It was down and I abandoned it. I was dead broke and needed to get to a job in another state, and my car wouldn't pull it.

A.H., when I got finished with my truck, it would break the softest 12.5" street tires I could find loose at 60 mph. I was running a '68 0.040 over 429 with 11.5 compression flat-tops, ported and polished heads, port-matched Offenhauser intake, 650 Holley carb., Doug Herbert cam, and Doug Thorley headers. It was backed up by a blue-printed C-6 tranny, 10.5" converter, and a Ford 9" with 3.70 gears (for street use). The eng. dyno'ed @ 596 hp. @ 6750 rpm. on pump gas.

I recon it never took long for you to get where you was going in that ride.
To be honest I miss my old Mustand and the power it had.
If my Father knew some of the stunts I pulled in that car he would roll over in his grave ...A.H

Oh, yes, the horrible seller's remorse. I bought a new, yellow, 1969 Boss 302 when I got out of the service. A really fun drive, and it gave the local cops something to follow around on weekends.
I also regret selling a lot of guns I let slip through my fingers.

Hey Arkie I got several Hazardous driveing tickets from burning rubber, other than that the cops didn't bother me.
Back then the cops were drunk themselves and they would get P.Oed when they had to get out and give someone a ticket.
I had to hitch a ride one night with a couple of Policemen because my Mustang would not start (starter was stuck ) These 2 guys were shareing a bottle of old crow and were well lite. LOL...A.H
