Would you believe it ?? July 8, 1947!! Subject: Did you know what happened July 8, 1947!! Many of you will recall that on July 8, 1947, a little over 60 years ago, witnesses claim that an unidentified flying object (UFO) with five aliens aboard crashed onto a sheep and cattle ranch just outside Roswell , New Mexico . This is a well-known incident that many say has long been covered up by the U.S. Air Force and other federal Agencies and organizations. However, what you may NOT know is that in the month of April 1948, nine months after that historic day, the following people were born:! Albert A. Gore, Jr. Hillary Rodham John F. Kerry William J. Clinton Howard Dean Nancy Pelosi Dianne Feinstein Charles E. Schumer Barbara Boxer See what happens when aliens breed with sheep? I certainly hope this bit of information clears up a lot of things for you. It did for me. No Wonder They support The Bill To Help Illegal Aliens, Now you Know. _____

| A little more research, please . . . .i
. . . , to determine when the people in charge of American mass media were born? Especially heads of network news departments and publishers of major city newspapers. Surely the ding-a-ling net when cast outward will encompass more of America's movers and shakers. |

Maybe you should send a copy to each of those named to let them know we're on to them!

Has anyone here ever givin any thought what could happen if "beings" from another planet were to make contact ? One very possible thing that could happen is they would take over like the settlers did here. Or govern us....Hummm that might be better than Ovomit or Hillary LOL. A.H |

It's been suggested that the best proof we have that there are other sentient species in the Universe, is that none of them have contacted us.

i have always wondered if those radio waves do reach another race. why do we assume they are friendly? we told them where we are and what technology we have. ![]() god i love that monster!

billy, I don't think you need to worry that much. So far, except for one Mexican physicist (who has the math but no clue how to make a machine to apply the math) there's no sign that faster than light drive (aka warp drive) is possible in the real world. Here's why you don't need to worry. Let's assume for this discussion that Gene Roddenberry's definition of warp drive and warp speeds is correct. He said that with the Warp Factors Kirk & Co. talked about on Star Trek, speed was the cube of the warp factor. Fans of the successor series Enterprise sometimes wondered why the Vulcans made such a big deal out of the Warp Five engine the NX-01 USS Enterprise was equipped with. Here's why. The nearest star to Earth is Apha Centauri, 4.7 light-years away. That's the distance a beam of light travels in 4.7 years. We all clear on this? Let's also compare the trip to Alpha Centauri with a voyage from New York to Europe. This will help explain about that Warp Five engine. At Warp One, you are traveling at the speed of light. It will take you 4.7 years to get to Alpha Centauri. At Warp Two, you are traveling 8 times the speed of light. It will take you a tad more than 7 months to get to Alpha Centauri. At Warp Three, you are traveling 27 times the speed of light. It will take 63 days and a bit to reach Alpha Centauri. That's the same length of time it took the Pilgrims to sail from England to Plymouth, Massachusetts. At Warp Four, you are traveling 64 times the speed of light. It will take about 27 days to go from Earth to Alpha Centauri. That's about as long as a sailing vessel making 5 knots would take to cross the Atlantic. At Warp Five, you are traveling 125 times the speed of light. It will take about 13 1/2 days to make the trip to Alpha Centauri. That was the time the Great Western made when she won the Blue Riband of the Atlantic in 1839. At Warp Six, you are traveling 216 times the speed of light. It will take 8 days to make the trip. That's about the same time it took RMS Germanic to go from Europe to America in 1875. It's also slower that a fast containership makes the same run today. At Warp Seven, you are traveling 343 times the speed of light. It will take 5 days to make the trip. That's a little better than the Hapag Lloyed liner Deutschland managed for a transatlantic crossing in 1903. At Warp Eight, you are traveling 512 times the speed of light. It will take 3 days, 7 hours to get from here to Alpha Centauri. That's a little better time than the transatlantic run made by the SS United States on her maiden voyage in 1952. (Parenthetic note: the Big U was the last real oceangoing ship to hold the Blue Riband. All the "winners" since have been purpose-built racing craft, hovercraft or ferries.) It's also the operating speed of a Nimitz-class carrier. And that's why the Vulcans were so concerned about the Warp Five engine. It isn't until you have an engine capable of that kind of speed that interstellar trade becomes practical in this arm of the Milky Way Galaxy. The stars are far apart. It's also why you don't need to worry too much about aliens in flying saucers coming here for tea. As I said, except for that one physicist (and others in the field are still debating whether his theory is sound), no one believes hyperlight spaceflight is possible at this time. At the speed of light, you are better off heading for the galactic core, where the stars are closer together. By the standard of galactic dstances, the Solar System is a tiny atoll out in the middle of the Pacific Ocean. You are more likely to find what you are looking for farther in toward the center than out in the middle of nowhere. |
