And now you know why one of the Gunsite outdoor action drills is The Charging Bear. They have a target rack on a radio controlled robot. They put a bear target in the rack and then roll the 'bot at you at the same speed a bear charges. You empty your pistol into the target and see if Mr. Bear would have lost interest or if you'd have ended up as bear scat.

Phoenix, Welcome to my neck of the woods: YNP. We're very cautious when camping near the park, if we're tent camping, cause it's well known that the bears like dine on campers...
