MY UNDERSTANDING WAS WW1 AND THE CLOTH AMMO BELTS USED ON OUR AIRCRAFT. SAME DIFERENCE ONLY EARLIER.

In reference to that horse/statue line, if the horse has three legs in the air the person died from the horse falling on him.
