Beagle pics

This is a continuation of the thread I started when I first began thinking about getting a beagle:
http://www.gunandgame.com/forums/hun...ut-beagle.html (Been thinking about a beagle...)

I managed to get a few shots of the two new critters this evening. Not easy; have you ever tried to make a beagle be still?

Here's Pinball, or Mindy, or whatever:

And a couple of Beagle Boy, Pork Chop, or whatever he winds up as. I don't normally have this much trouble with dog names, and I'm up for suggestions:

They don't usually look that solemn. They aren't used to being in the house, and they were meeting the crop of indoor kittens (who will soon be either outside kittens or gone kittens) for the first time.

Little Mindy/Pinball just tongued for the first time while I was writing this; quite a sound. I went out to see what set her off, and it turned out to be a turtle in one of our ornamental ponds.

How am I gonna show? Everyone else has rabbit hounds, foxhounds, wolf hounds or whatever, and I wind up with turtle hounds?!?

They worked for me. Anyone else having trouble? I'll ask my son to try them on his computer, too.

She's the hyperactive one

She spends all her awake time on the move. Old Pork Chop is kind of a lump: he'd spend his life laying around, if she weren't there to keep him moving. He's lost a noticeable amount of fat around his ribs, just in the week I've had them.

But she's spooky. One minute she'll be climbing in my lap, and the next she'll cringe and take off when my hand gets too close to her.

I think both of them spent too much time in a kennel. But give me a while; they'll run half the rabbits out of California before I'm done with them.
