| We're home from Iowa We finally made it in late Sunday and have spent the past couple days getting settled in and trying to help Rosso feel at home. I've discovered through my own observations that his issues run much deeper than what the breeder had been told. Hopefully his insecurity on our stairs will be the most difficult to overcome. Rosso is a very friendly and affectionate boy. He and Lenny got along great right from the git go. He is also very good with our house cats. Since he hasn't been on birds in over three years I was a bit concerned about his natural abilities, but his moving about the house stalking and pointing the cats has settled that worry. Just need to give him the right scents to pursue. Right now our main mission is to gain his trust, start him toward proper socialization and get the eight or so pounds of excess weight off him. It's amazing what a small amount of food can do without the proper amount of exercise. I'll put pic's up in the Dog thread when I get a chance to take some nice ones. |
