| Attn NC residents: Cabela's store coming Just read this in the local news today. If in Smithfield, they would be just a few miles from my house. Cabela's Considering Retail Store In Smithfield - Cabela’s, a Nebraska-based supplier of hunting, fishing, and outdoors supplies is reportedly looking at building a retail store in North Carolina. The News & Observer reported that Smithfield and Mebane are the two cities being considered in the state. Cabela’s has 14 other stores in the US. Last week, the company announced plans to open a retail store near Atlanta. http://www.newsobserver.com/1068/story/421773.html Cabela's, the hunting, fishing and outdoors retailer, has been poking around North Carolina for a store site. The Nebraska-based company already has a devoted base of catalog customers and 14 stores nationwide. Spokesman James Powell said Cabela's plans to at least double its number of stores by 2008. Powell stopped short of naming cities but confirmed Cabela's is targeting the Southeast. However, Smithfield and Mebane appear to be among areas the retailer checked out, other sources say. How soon could Cabela's be here? It's tough to say. But just Wednesday, the company released plans for its first Southeastern store in Adairsville, Ga., near Atlanta. |

|  Good luck in getting the Cabela's in your area. :right: It'll have a big draw for both entertainment and appeal to sportsment of all types. The original store In Nebraska created the marketing mix for a store that I'm guessing will spread throughout the country very quickly.:nod:
