| 7mm Mag or 300 Mag I have a friend that has a 7mm Mag and wanted to get a 300 Mag because its bigger. Looking on the ballistics charts there isn't too much difference in them.  |

| I think that if they are so close, and he already has a 7mm, I'd say why get the .300.

| Either is a good choice. If you don't plan to shoot at game over 300yards a 308 or 06 is a good option. |

| I have both - not enough difference to change - unless he just wants something different. Yes, the .300 is a little better, but it has a little more recoil to. No free rides in guns or physics!
