HB148 goes to the house

Today Illinois finally took a baby step toward a CC law. HB148 passed out of committee and goes to the house floor. Hopefully it will have enough votes to pass to the senate.

poolboy, the question I have to ask is, "Is there enough support for this bill in the rest of the state to outweigh the leftist/Obamist duckspeakers in Cook County and the extreme northeast quadrant of the state, as one must presume all of the representatives from the Greater Chicago Cesspool will vote against that bill?"

Oh, don't get me wrong, I'm VERY cautiously optimistic. I don't know if the votes are there, but the fact that a CC bill made it out of committee for the first time since 1990 at least gives us a LITTLE hope.

Illinois should vote to secede from Chicago.

I vote to give Chicago to any state that wants it... or just make it its own leftist state and leave the rest of us IL folks the hell alone. States with "super cities" like Chicago and New York City should let them and their "great" ideas be independant shiny beacons of societal failure with their heads so far up their own backsides that they actually love the smell aside from what the rest of their states folks... you know the normal population that get out and do actual work, buy groceries, are required to drive to work, hunt, fish... us "uneducated" neanderthal could get by just fine without their votes that they know more than us on how to life should be lived.
