How is everyone? I just put a DPMS Oracle on layaway... I'm married, if you wonder why I didn't just have the $700
Anyway, I have been looking around, and this seemed like an awesome forum. Anyway, I will be getting mine on the 30th, and while I am rather ashamed to admit it, I know NOTHING about ARs except for the fact that I believe that the 5.56 is superior to the x39 at range, and that I want my family to be prepared should the worst come.
Now that my rambling is out of the way...
I have a quad rail ready, and I made the mistake of purchasing a set of MBUS that is for "training". At least I didn't pay much for them. I have been shooting pistols for a little while, but this looked like the best place for a know nothing to get some good advice. I'm hoping someone can help me understand "co-witnessing" once and for all. I keep reading about it, but all of the different definitions confuse me.
I look forward to getting to know the folks here!
AR15 is the world of Mattel Toys for grownups. Have fun!
Love it! haha!
I would have already had it, but my employer, the lovely school district, makes a habit of routinely losing time cards for teachers who do extra work. Soon though. Very soon. I got my quad rail in the mail today. And my MBUS should be here in a day or two. I am hoping to hit the range with a few hundred rounds the day I pick her up.
Welcome to the forum, the AR is a good platform.
The .223 is a wicked little round out to 300 yds.
I love my Bushy .223. It is accurate.
One 69 gr to the lung would be decisive.
But Ten Man and I love the AR-10.
It leaves no doubt, and is good for deer etc.
The wife shoots a bit. We both have our CC permits, and with as busy as everything is, plinking is about the only thing the family does together.
An AR-10 is definitely in the future, it's just the distant future. The AR I'm getting is definitely entry model, but I'm hoping to learn from tarting it up haha
