Old New Guy or New Guy Old

Retired, live in the high desert of S California. Collect, shoot, hunt and reload my firearms. I'm at the range at least once a week and if given a choice, I'd live there. I generally shoot benchrest as I'm shooting left handed for a while until I get my eye surgery done. Shoot a lot of mil-surps along with my varmont calibers. Considering getting a 7mm-08. I like those wildcat calibers, then on the other hand I've never met a caliber I didn't like! Collect a few classic cars and do contemporary art. My wife is always busy with her accupuncture practice, she's had the needle in me for over 40 years, just kidding. Actually she's a sweet little Japanese lady.

Welcome, Woody

Whereabouts in the high desert are you?

I picked up a couple of beagles over toward Victorville and Phelan a while back; I have hopes of turning them into rabbit hounds. It was a bit of a drive, but the guy I bought them from actually hunts his, instead of just making couch potatoes or cute little show dogs out of them. So I figured his pups might have the right genes.

Hi Troy 2000

Were in the Victorville area and I belong to the Adelanto Gun Club which is right off the 395. Do most hunting in the Mojave Preserve which is little over two hours from here.
