Thanks and Welcome

Like to thank everyone for welcoming me aboard, and extend that welcome to the new new arrivals. I am a Vietnam Vet ('69-'75) been with the same company for 31 yrs. and ready to retire (if my gun habit allows). Still have my first gun (45yrs ago) a J.C.Higgins .410 bolt action w/clip and my second (41yrs ago) the good old Rugar 10/22. Glad to meet y'all!! I have already been enlightened on some things by reading the posts. Enough to go and pick me up another M44 while they have them (they did have one date stamped 1943 and I now know why they wanted more bucks for it), and MORE AMMO while it is CHEAP!!! I definately have Mosin sickness--pretty to look at, fun to shoot!!....Jim

hey, where in southern indiana are you from? I have lots of family in the rockport, and grandview area.

Well, hi again, Mosineer! Always good to see ya here! I'm gonna hold off on more MN's, and see about building a custom Mauser, prob'ly in 22-250.

Hey Mike... Scottsburg area north of New Albany, but was just through there last weekend.. took the scenic SR 66 route from Evansville.

Hey Scotty... got one Mauser, would like a couple more myself to play with. Just waiting for Seabeescottys gun smithing made easy CD to get here~~~
