Any Other North Idaho Folks Here?

New poster but not new to forums. My shooting family hails from Post Falls. We're off I-90 just east of Spokane, WA. We all shoot. My daughter hunts with my dad and I. We belong to a trap club and a rifle and pistol club. My wife and I both have our CCWs for Idaho and Washington and carry on a regular basis. I told my daughter I'd buy her her first CCW when she turns 21. I'll probably have to buy her a .45 ACP or .40 S&W before then. She loves my Taurus PT 1911! We spend as much time in the woods that diesel prices allow and I love fly fishing. I teach P.E. at our old high school, although new building now. My wife has been Idaho since she was a baby and I moved here going into 7th grade. I feel as if I was born here, though. I reckon that'll do for starters.

Welcome to Gun&Game.Com. Yes, I think you're the first member I've seen from Idaho. I'll look forward to reading your posts.

And...don't be surprised if someone here doesn't crack a joke about Idaho.

Welcome, I'm not in Idaho, but it's only about an 8 hour drive from Seattle-area.

What's to joke about? We have great hunting, fishing, taters, and we run out the Aryans! Thanks for the welcome. Haven't been back in this forum for a spell.

Lewiston is about a three hour drive south of me on State HWY 95. I taught my first year at Prairie High School in Cottonwood which is another 50 miles south of Lewiston. That was in '89-'90. Been to Lewiston many times to play football and baseball. Hotter than the furnaces of **** in the summer. Stinks, too from the pulp mill.

Hello, not in ID, but I did live there for about 6 mo. when I was in the service in the early 70's. Rented a house in Ammon/Idaho Falls area. Friend took me to some of the best Cutthroat Trout fishing trips I ever had. Liked it while I was there, hope to visit again. Looking forward to your posts. What's your favorite hunting firearm?

The allure of handgun hunting has got me so I carry my S&W Model 26 6" right now. I missed a buck last season at 40-50 yards. A friend of ours has a S&W 460 and I want one REEEEAAAAALLLL bad!!! I like the idea of getting up close and archery is screwed up here if you want to hunt elk with a rifle, too.
