We're neighbors! I'm over closer to Durham but am usually found in Raleigh. No good places to shoot this far out.

It all depends on what you want to shoot. There is a few places I like, one off Capital Blvd(Davi's), and one off Tryon Road(Personal Handgun and Defense).

There are a few outdoor ranges, if you are willing to drive.

Well, I have a few. I have a Sig P226 in 40SW that was retired a few months ago because she seems to be eating herself up internally and Sig won't have anything to do with her (long story that makes me very angry). My Smith&Wesson 686 .357 which became my carry piece after the Sig got sick (only at work, the 6" barrel makes it sort of cumbersome). Got a Bersa Thunder 380 which I lost trust in very early so I'm having fun with it (pictures of the new paint job in the Bersa forum. LOL!)

My long guns are a Swiss K31 that I just simply adore. A Benelli Super Nova 12 gauge that just recently got its first spin in the woods doing some sporting clays and got rained on for the first time on the same day. And a little Springfield/Savage 120A that I paid $40 for because it is in sad condition. I bought it to refinish and slightly rebuild, figuring it won't shoot (the bolt sticks real bad, but I may be able to fix that) which is ok, too. But if it does, I got a real cheap shooter!

Sorry about the Sig, sounds touchy so I won't go there. None the less, looks like you got a nice collection of GO-Bangs!!! Good luck with the Springfield/Savage.. Good price for a fixer upper....I'll have to check the paint job out.. I have an older Bersa Lusbar 84 7.65 cal(.32) thats faithful as long as it is used often and kept squeaky clean. Let it sit and gum up a little and it makes a decent frisbee...

My Bersa quit firing after the first 30 rounds. I sent it the gunsmith and he ended up replacing a bunch of the guts. Haven't had an issue since, but seeing as how I only bought it as a concealed weapon and I now didn't trust it to go bang every time, well. It hasn't had so much as a jam since then, and my trust is coming up, but I figured having some fun wouldn't hurt.

That's the first story I've heard or read about a Bersa .380 Thunder being less than reliable. I seriously thought about buying one for a while, but wound up with a Norinco 9mm Tokarev instead.

Have you run into any other bad stories about the Bersas?

Sadly, yes. I sell guns for a living and every so often a Bersa T380 we put out comes back for some issue or another. I've had two come back with exactly the same problem I had. I give them the gunsmith's name and tell them what he's going to do. No one seems to get rid of them, though. They get fixed and get kept. If mine hadn't had that issue and my trust hadn't been broken it really would be one of my better guns. It eats any ammo I feed it and is very accurate.

Well that's a good thing. Just not too much of a gentleman because then I'd feel very unladyl like.
