| Thanks for all the warm welcomes. Quote:
To fill in some other information about me: I am a first-time gun owner; but being raised in rural Texas, I have shot more than my share of firearms. After moving to Cali, I missed shooting, so I picked up a synthetic/SS Ruger P95 with a manual safety for a.) its noted reliability b.) its decent accuracy and c.) relative cheapness of 9mm Luger ammo. I am going to be picking up a rifle next, so any suggestions would be great. I am primarily interested in target shooting. | |

| Surprised me too. After taking an infantile handgun safety test (things I learned as 10 year old in scouts), and waiting the obligatory 10 days so I could get over any possible spur-of-the-moment murderous intentions, I was able to actually physically own a handgun. |
