| Registered User | New gun owner in Dayton, Oh Hello, New to forums from Dayton, Oh. I just recently purchased a new pistol as my first handgun. Now, all I need to do is to shoot the thing. But, I do NOT want to go to a firing range to shoot it. Does anyone who currently lives in the Dayton, Oh or Miami Valley area know of any good shooting spots out in the woods? Thanks |

| Registered User | Walther P22. I got some Winchester Xpert 22's 36GR. I hope to god I don't have any problems with the feed. I figured I would start out small with like a .22 and work my way up to higher calibers as time goes on. |

| Senior Member | Welcome to G&G tjvbryant. Also, congrats on your recent purchase. What is it and what caliber? If you do go out into the woods or anything, just make sure it is legal to do where you plan on going. Don't lose it, or the privilege as soon as you get it.

| Senior Member ![]() | Hey feller ! Welcome to Gun and Game !!! Now why do you not want to go to a range ? There's plenty of folks there that want to show off what they know about guns and can be a big Hep to you. So tote yourself on down to the shoot'in range and I betcha you'll have a good time and you might even make some new friends. And one of them might be a good look'in blue eyed blond with big baba's that's single and look'in for a shoot'in feller !!! Happens all the time...A.H |

| Senior Member | I can understand the guy not wanting to go to a range, he might not have a free one around his area. Even when I was a member of one, I was a tad shy to do the indoor range in winter. |

I'm thinking I just might have to go to the range...I'm itchin to shoot this sucker. The cheapest range nearby charges $14 an hour...might not be a bad price. Almost all other ones require a memebership...don't want to pay $300/yr and go only..at most..4 or 5 times...waste of money. | |

| Senior Member | Wow, $300! Nearest one to me is $95 for the first year and $75 each year after that. Thou, they do make you pay to use the indoor range. Yeah yeah, gotta pay for the heat/ac and the lights. I'll sweat or freeze it out on the out door range.

| Senior Member | Welcome to G&G, and you're starting out on the right track! Get to know the firearm, and then get permission for a place to shoot it. But, what's wrong with going to a range? Fromal ranges are run by rangemasters who are good sources of information, and expert with firearms. Check it out!!
