hello from Las Vegas

New guy here checking in, just stumbled onto the site while looking for general Weapon knowledge. Never owned or shot a real gun before, and just looking for some people to show me the ropes and this seems like the best place to learn and gain knowledge, before I go out and start off on the wrong foot.

Welcome to G&G. We have a great bunch of folks here. Do you own a gun now? If not, I would suggest a.22 rifle to learn to shoot with as it has no recoil and the ammo is cheap to practice with. Go to different gun ranges that rent rifles and shoot as many different brands as you can until you find one that your comfortable with. Check with some of the Vegas members and they may be able to go with you and help you get started. Good shooting.

Scotty It's just rained hard a time or two, were not in any danger down here with this front.
My wife woke me up to watch the weather channel while she got ready for work.
She use's my truck when they mention hail.
I told her she had nudd'in to worry about from what my Weather radio said and the Weather channel said.

Cabela's sent a clearence Catalog last week and it had eton FR 300 weather crank radio's in it for 49 dollars.
It's got AM, FM, a buch of NOAA channels, TV_VHF, Built in led flash light and a cool sounding Siren.
You can even re charge your cell phone and you can buy an AC adaptor if you don't want to use the 2 different batterie modes.

I ordered 2 of them, one is for my son.
I used it this morning to listen to NOAA reports. Has Excellent sound quality too.
The picture in the catalog look likes there pretty good size, but there a lot smaller than what I thought they would be. But it's all right.
It came with a nice carrying case too and since it was a special they was giv'in you a crank LOL Flash light free if you buy one of these radios.
Well they run out of the flash lights, there back order, but will send it when they come in.
Well I guess I'll mossey on now, I gotta go turn Herbert loose it's time for his play period !!!...A.H LOL
