| Member | Hello From P.R. Hi everyone!! I've been lurking silently for a couple of month now and really enjoy the forum. A little info about me, I live in San Juan Puerto Rico and just recently (February) got my hunting and target practice licence, so I've got gun fever!! Im trying to start a mini firearm collection and the first gun I bought was a Sig Sauer p229 .40 which I really like. A few weeks later got a Taurus 608 .357 which kicks like a mule in my humble opinion. Today I went to my local guns shop to buy a pair of new Hogue wood grips for the Taurus and ended up buying a Sig Sauer p 220 .45 ACP Equinox. Other than that I have Savage Mako .22lr bolt action and for hunting my uncle gave me a Charles Daily 28ga and for skeet/hunting I recently got a Beretta silver pigeon 12 ga. Just wanted to share my emotions with people who i know will understand, since my friends are not gun freaks... Thaks for listening guys!!!!! Last edited by joche26; 06-07-2008 at 07:26 PM. |

Theres a island which is consider part of PR called Mona island. This island is consider the archipelago for the Atlantic so its under the management of the local and federal Natural Resources. The problem here is that they have a couple of indigenous creatures which are being affected by the ones brought by humans(wild pigs and wild goats). So Natural Resources opens a special season to hunt this game to control its population. You can hunt them either by arrows or shotgun ( a season for each type of hunting) as you can see no rifle hunting allowed . Hope to have answer your question. | Senior Member | Welcome to the forum, and get to know folks. I always wanted to see your island, but my Battalion never got there. We went all over the Pacific, and to Europe, but never the Carribean. Enjoy G&G, we'll see ya around!

| Member | I was stationed down at Roosevelt Roads and lived in Ceiba. I have a good friend from Isla Verde and a family friend who has a home in Ponce. She joined the Air Force when she was 18 and is now retired and goes back and forth. I have never taken my wife on a honeymoon and have planned to take her to PR. I want her to see Aguadilla and take her to the bio-luminscent bay. I love PR. There are so many great things I remember from my almost two years there. |
