Well, I can see the interest in Kel Tec pistols is overwhelming. I was just looking for a pistol small enough to carry in my front pocket. Decided on the 380. Found it for a good price so am picking it up.
Now just need to pick up a holster and a couple extra mags.

Hey, its the weekend, we're all out SHOOTING!!!
Skip a holster, just get the Keltec Clip. It hooks the gun to the top of your pocket...
If you are worried about printing...get one of those pocket-filler flat pieces of leather...

LOL!!! Yep, I did some shooting this morning myself!!!
I saw those clips! I will pick one of those up as well. Got a pocket holster and a 9 shot mag on the way. I can't wait to get this pistol in. Ammo is waiting to be shot!
I got the P11 when they came out, and carried it for years.
I got the P40 when they came out.
I got the P357Sig barrel for the P40 when they came out.
I got the P32 when they came out.
I got the P3AT when they came out and have carried it for years.
I got the PF9 when they came out.
I have a lot of guns, some nice ones, but the lightweight ugly ducklings get carried.
I alternate carrying the LCP [Ruger clone of P3AT with nice laser] 380 for light threats, the PF9 9mm for medium threats, and a 1911 45acp for heavy threats.
Can't speak to the P3AT as I've never so much as touched one, but I did pick the PF9, and in my EXTREMELY humble (and relatively inexperienced) opinion, I have to say it's got to be a dang-near "perfect" pocket-arm, due to size (or lack thereof) and that it's a 9mm as opposed to the .380 (that I believe your other option is?).
I've had a few issues after the first 100 rounds (rounds 100-200), but I have been trying-out a variety of ammo (brands AND weights), and I've also had an nickel-plate finish job that was "done" THREE (3) times, before it was correct/proper, and which has caused issues, believe it or not.
Making things even worse (as you would have gathered if you had happened-across a few of my posts here (and elsewhere) recently, was the timing of a confluence of aggravating factors.
Due to my frustrations with the metal-finish work/job (which played-out over several MONTHS) as well as some personal issues (including some illness), and the confusion over which weight and brand was going to avail me the best opportunity for fault-free firing, I began to get sloppy with my cleaning/oiling, and with my technique, habits, and practices.
I had begun to shoot rapid-fire ONLY...at a time when I really needed to s-l-o-w things waaaay down.
Now, having my head screwed-on a bit more snugly, having the nickel-plate looking "Fantastische", AND having slowed things down (FINALLY) - considerably, I am now only getting maybe 1-2 FTF's in two mags (7 & 7+1), and NO FTE's now.
Perhaps more than info than you were looking for here but, well, I needed to own-up to my impatience and whining, as well as all the mistakes I was making.
So there it is - need to wrap this up, for now at least...and will also go-back to - FWIW, retracting my head from my rectum...may need ti that's my story, and for better/worse I'm stickin' to `er...!
Well, so far my experience with the P3AT has been less than stellar. The first few range sessions were great. They deteriorated to the point to where Kel Tec is now working on my pistol. Hopefully I will get it back soon.

I hope they fix up your pistol. I have only fired about 250 to 300 rounds out of mine, but so far my PF-9 is great. It kicks butt, actually. The only thing that tends to bother me, besides the soft trigger pull, is the recoil of a full powered 9x19mm Parabellum round going off in such a small framed semi-auto, even with a finger extension. If you get around to it, what exactly was your pistol doing wrong, anyways? Oh, and of course, did they fix it?
I know it wan't part of the question, but I just seen a review of this in the Blue Press. Seems to be a nice gun for the price. Just tossi'n it out there. SCCY Industries
I understand the MSRP translates to approx $275 on the street.

We have two PF9s The first had a failure to fire starting at 150 rounds and is now running well, the second has been perfect. We don't carry them but choose the LCP. Much smaller, lighter
It doesn't take much gun to pull my pants down. The day goes down hill pretty fast after that.

I called them and asked about using +P or+P+ ammo and they said no. This is something to think about when considering what SD round you want to use. Seems like a nice gun though.

Huey: Consider that a regular (non +P) 9mm is like a 380 magnum if there were such a thing. It is good for about 200 fps using the same 105 grain bullet in a handload. Just saying.

Yeah Jerry,
I know that SKYY/SCCY look decently fit and finished and I too read the article in the Blue Press, however my dealings with SCCY are not conducive to repeat business! Getting back to the question at hand the 3AT needs some fluffing and buffing to be 100%, once done it is a great pocket pistol. The PF-9 is another diamond in the rough..so to speak. They too need polishing and deburing, once done an break-in is accomplished they are a nice thin inside the waist CCW a bit too heavy for pocket carry in my opinion. I too like the belt clips....
I would do the PF-9. Why cut yourself short with a .380 when the 9mm Luger is almost exactly the same size? I am debating between the P-11 and PF-9. I like the slim contours, and the looks of the PF-9, but the capacity of the P-11 is making me overlook the ugliness of it. Also, the PF-9 and P-11 have the belt clips as has been said, and .22lr conversions for under $200.
