PF9

I love this little gun. I'll post picts later, but I was wondering if anyone else was addicted to their PF9 like I am. I bought one as a summer-time CCW. My wife shot it and LOVED it too, so I bought her one too. I have the olive-drab and got her the grey (she calls it blue).

I never imagined that smallest, lightest 9MM autoloader would be so accurate and easy to use. I carry the thing everywhere now.

Anyone add a sighting device to that little tiny rail yet? I haven't found anything small enough to put on it.

I've been looking at the PF-9 or P-11 & was wondering about the "kick" out of this little lightweight? I shoot a Bersa Thunder 380, which is straight blowback & was wondering your thoughts on "muzzle flip" when comparing "locked breech" & "blowback?" (I also shoot 9mm from a Taurus PT92 AFS, 34 ozs)

I shot my PF9 side by side with my Ruger P89 and did not notice any appreciable difference in recoil. Other than the "feel" of the grips, I don't think I could have told them apart with my eyes closed. PF9 is a truly remarkable gun.

I agree with Daddyo. The PF9 is truly remarkable. It's incredibly lightweight (under 13oz), but I can line up the second shot just as fast as I can with my Ruger P85.

The P11 gives you 3 more rounds in the magazine at the expense of extra width, slightly more weight (1.3 oz.), and no accessory rail. They are, however, the same price. I have never fired the P11, but would assume it to fire very much like the PF9, but with even less muzzle flip since there is the tiniest bit more weight down low.

I am very happy with the quality of the KelTec. The sights are great for such a tiny gun. It shoots amazingly accurate. And the spare mags are a LOT cheaper than those for my Ruger P85!

Here's a laser that seems kind of appealing to me, if I were looking for one.
MidwayUSA - LaserMax Uni-Max External Red Laser with Integral Picatinny-Style Mount Plus Accessory Picatinny Rail Matte

I concur with all the positive comments. I have not experienced a jam or disappointment and find myself grabbing it quite often for my CC. I use a belt clip and it carries like it isn't there. With a mag of quality HP it will definitely do the job if needed. I would disagree slightly on the comfort of firing, I do have big hands but it does wear on the trigger finger but I do not consider it a "shooting gun" but a great carry at a price that cannot be beat!

I have both the p11 and the pf-9, the trigger on the pf-9 is much smoother and the 9 is simply more fun to shoot. It's my ccw for most of the year. I did develope a case of slide wobble at 272rds, i sent it back and they replaced about everything there was to replace, and did a custom tune up, now it shoots even tighter groups. K-T has the best customer service i have ever seen. blue

I bought my first KelTec gun at a gun show about a month ago. It's a black PF-9. Got it for a backup. Ive put about 200 rounds through it . I love it. One little problem I found..and was easy to fix is the screw that holds the fire pin and extractor came loose. A drop of blue thread lock fixed the problem

I've had my PF 9 for about 2 months and love it. Also added a laser that is pretty neat as well.
Tried to add photos but couldn't quite get the hang of it. Just go to Forums click on Community then click on Pictures and Albums and then click on PF 9 with Armalaser. Thanks, mikex2
