PF9 or P11

I currently own a PF9 and am about to get a P11. I was wondering which ya'll thought was the better one.

I looked at both and went with the PF-9 because I thought it would be a little easier to CC since it is a little narrower. I like it so far.

Personally, I/we (my wife and I) own 2 P-11's. I bought 1 used and the other new later on.The actual size difference is hardly noticeable. The PF-9 is only a little less than 1/4" thinner and holds 1/2 the ammo. I find knowing that I have 10 or 12 rounds instead of 6 or 7 comforting, even though if I can't get the job done in 6 rounds, I'm probably screwed anyway. The P-11 has "double strike" capability which is good in case of a FTF. Usually a hard primer will fire on the second hit. The PF-9 does have an accessory rail however, which is something I could care less about, but if you like them and want a P-11 just wait a while. A new P-11 based on the PF-9 design is supposed to be released some time this year, according to sources inside Kel-Tec on the KTOG forum. KTOG.Org - Kel-Tec Owners Group. But as for me, I like the current P-11.

I tried 'em side by side as well. PF9 felt a little more natural to my hand. I mostly went with the PF9 because of weight. I got it to be my summer time carry when wearing shorts.

The trigger on my PF-9 is a lot nicer than my P-11 was.
As was stated, the size difference is hardly noticeable.

My hands are a little larger so I like the P11, just fits better, thats also why I prefer Glocks to Sigs. I like the more square feel

Do you happen to know the trigger pull weight of both of them? Being a big XD fan I like a light trigger pull.

I don't own either but a friend brought both the Pf9 and the P11 to our local gun range & I had a chance to shoot both & compare them. The P11 fits my large hands much better but the loooooong, HARD trigger pull is awful! The "start" of the pull, slides my finger right up against the bottom of the frame (top of the trigger guard) then does a big "ouch" when the trigger finally goes "click!" (or "BANG" if the gun was loaded) then pinches my finger, in the trigger recess in the frame. The pull is really long, with a wierd angle, (my opinion) at the "end of it's travel.
The Pf9 however, has a much lighter pull, MUCH smoother, but the gun is so slim, it really "squirms around" when I fire it. If I were to "have to" decide, I'd pick the Pf9, just because of a much improved trigger. I think I could learn to hold onto it, with practice. I only shot about 12-15 rounds, through each gun. For me, if I had to choose, I just might end up with a Pf9. (Now, if they just made the pf9, in 380acp!!! I guarantee you, I'D HAVE THAT GUN! KelTec... are you listening?)

Concerning tirgger bite and the PF9 "grip". I did a little sanding and reduced trigger size which "helped" the trigger bite. As far as the grip I use a sleeve and it really helped with stability. For less than $7 it probably is the most eco part I ever bought and use daily! I put my vote in for PF9, easy carry, with a belt clip and I do not go below 9mm for carry. The wife has a Bersa 380 (larger than PF9 but really fun to shoot and accurate) as discussed in the thread which has never failed to bang and with the right ammo I would feel real sorry for the person(s) on the recieving end of her barrel!

I have owned both the P3-AT and PF-9, and both shoot pretty easy for the first two or three magazines. Anything past that begins to beat up your hand pretty good. And both need a firm grip. Trigger pull by design is liong and hard. I also smoothed the trigger, but the mechanics of it are such that you can't do any real adjusting, only a little surface work and in my case taking a little off the tip of the trigger.
