Guys i caNT GET MY KIMBER PRO CARRY barrell out i can only get to the point of

Lock the slide back and insert a pin in the exposed hole on the guide rod. You can use a paperclip or a small allen wrench like I do.

Release the slide stop and move the slide forward until you can remove the slide stop from the frame.

Remove slide

then i cant get the barrel or sprin out ?

KR as I recall this is a near GI M1911? if so I assume at this stage you have removed the barrel bushing and recoil spring cap? Next invert the pistol in your weak hand (Top of slide in palm of weak hand muzzle pointed outwards from your body) so that slide stop is facing you then ease slide rearwards until slide stop call be removed, after slide stop is removed pull slide forward off frame, draw barrel out of slide either rearwards by grasping locking lug area lifting and drawing barrel to the rear OR (my favorite) making sure barrel link is in forward position draw barrel forward out of slide keeping the slide inverted (some times a slight shake is needed if tolerences are tight). Hope that helped.

There is a small hole on the under side of the barrel as you push the spring follower and guide rail forward, after removing the barrel.

Take a paper clip and make a quarter inch bend in it.

Insert little piece in hole and slide out barrel and follower.

Took me a week to figure that out. Anymore problems shoot me a PM.

Just remember the follower and compressed spring are removed to the rear of the slide and the barrel comes out forward.

Ash hit it on the money, I have a kimber pro with the cone barrel. To remove the guide rod leave the spring locked with the paper clip and remove back and up towards the rear of the slide. the barrel will slide out thru the front. If you have a problem take it back to where you bought it or any Kimber Dealer and they can help you. Good Luck.
