do we have any knife collectors out there?

i came across a very old k-bar it's got the U.S.M.C still on the blade and the blade is in good shape the problem with the knife is it's missing alot of the leather bands that make up the handle. i was gonna put this knife on ebay and just ask for an even trade for a new one. so do ya'll think that deal would be a fair deal or what?

Not to keep you from trying but if a person looks you can find old k bars cheap for little to nothing. I once seen a very very old Kbar and on the tattered sheath was the name of the Marine who owned it, along with some of his buddies names whom apparently died during action as next to their names was the place they died, Iwo and Okinawan amoung them, in essance a variable piece of US and especially Marine history and the thing was valued at 12$. At anyrate good luck with it.

sorry the knife went today. and to think it sat in my closet for a year or two and not one word but i posted this and then all of a sudden a buddy of mine said he would like to have it "he's in the marines" so i figured ok . but it was an old one but the blade was like new all it needed was new leather bands on the handle these were just falling apart. infact everytime i picked it up a piece of one fell off so i just left it alone.
