Trader Rating: (0) | Hi guys, Madmax is still alive !I didn't post for a long, long time because I was very, very busy getting trough this year of my mastersdegree, and my local police was no so eager to give a 20year old a firearms licence...(a bit understandable but verry anoying) But the moment has arrived, I got my first Rifle, and i'm damm proud of it... I have the pictures too, just look below... All shiny metalic parts you see are my homemade aluminium $$$-savers: Laser/Lamp rail, Reddot weaver adaptor, bi-pod and the stickgrip is of aluminium too(and a bikehandle I made my own quickdetach tactical sling myself. I just looked it up on the internet how such a sling works and bought the parts and the nylon for just 5$ at the local taylorstore. With de stickgrip, reddot and sling it's excelent for my dynamic-shooting, or with bi-pod, 4x scope and the sling removed(3min work) it makes a stable platform for plinking up to 250yards. With the rail for the dot I don't have to recalibrate my sights every time I switch from dot to scope so, how does it look? What do you guys think of it all? Greetz, MADMAX |

| Super Moderator ![]() | It looks really nice, including accessories. I've wanted one with the same setup, but can't justify the ammo cost compared to other guns. Such a carbine would cost me $400ish while I could get the more powerful and less expensive to shoot AK variant for barely over $300. But I have friends with M1 Carbines, heck, I even helped to restore a broken one, and I can definitely appreciate them.

Trader Rating: (0) | hi guys, took me a bit long to reply: i'm in the final exams for the first year of my masters degree---> busy, busy, busy.... G3: ur right about the ammo cost of a M1. but when i make my own ammo they only cost me 140$/1000 And over here a good M1 is around 150$, don't forget that... I was thinking of taking a AK as first gun but since I can buy 2 M1's for the price of one AK and home made M1 ammo is still more cheaper then homemade AK-ammo, the choice was a quick one for me... NRAJOE: I have my doubts about the vertical grip too, but it's quite handy when doing the Dynamic rifle thing:assult: . I'm thinking of taking a "fatter" bike handle (like one of a BMX Big dog: Tanx for the compliment:nod: ! I got the same reaction form my fello M1 gunners at the club this week... Calvin: Its a Inland 1943-3 made in the USA Carabine. serial: 4889XXX I have already got a extreemly good history and description from Landtrain(tanx again dude It runs like a freighttrain. no problems what so ever Whirlwind: well, with the bypod, the 4x scope, not to much wind and a lot of clicks up, I can make groups the size of a A4 sheet of paper. its not that i bechrest the fella ... thats all for now, MADMAX Last edited by MADMAX; 06-10-2003 at 04:59 PM. |

| Senior Member ![]() | I like holding a rifle in the traditional way...uncomfortable with that type of grip. If it works for you, thats all that matters!

| Moderator ![]() | I missed this thread last month. I sold an M1 to my Dad not too long ago.....it was an Enfield barreled in 1943. My Grandpa bought it from the American legion after WW2.

HOLD YOUR HAND IN BOTH OF THE HOLDING POSITIONS AND YOU WILL FEEL THE DIFFERENCE IN THE MUSCLE TENSION IN YOUR ARM. I.E. CAN EFFECT YOUR GRIP AND ACCURACY. HOWEVER FUN IS FUN AND GO FOR IT. DANA |
