in its day, the .30C was pretty good, but

the CAR-15 223 has had it beaten all to hell, in every way, for well over 30years, now. Wake up and smell the coffee.

Hey over;

Are you aware that olivine and hyperstene are the only orthorhombic pyroxenes?

Just some more useless info that doesn't belong in this thread.

First of all you can't compare a Car15 to a m1 carbine. One is a rifle round and the other is a pistol round. For what is was designed for the Carbine does it very well. The Car has its advantages too but come on, Its like saying the Pontiac Fiero Gt is faster than a 57 chevy on the highway. I am sure it is but which one would you rather have?

I guess some people just don't appreciate history. Besides, if he wants to compare then he needs to look at the 5.7 johnson which would be a more realistic comparison. For its time and purpose, the carbine was as good as it got. Besides, he's trying to compare a "battle rifle" to a "sidearm". It is roughly the same as the carbine and the M1 Garand. Of course it isn't the same! It was never meant to be!

do you really not have a life to keep coming back under a different name spouting the same o same o over and over again. and as far as your 223 is better than anything else- the 223 is not a great performer on dropping living things in their tracks - get over it!!!!!!!!!!!
