Stock questions...

Dear Jim,
As the resident expert, iI have three questions for you concerning some stocks I have.

1. Stocks slingwell marked LW in large letters, no other markings.

2. Stocks slingwell narked IR in large letters with small flaming bomb, no other markings

3. Slingwell has small ordinace wheel with no other markings on stock.

Are these unusual?

Not unusual at all....All are replacement stocks, not associated with any particular carbine manufacturer. IR is Robert Irwin. LW is Lumb Woodworking. The last one is believed to be Springfield arsenal. While ALL carbine makers were required to supply spares, those weren't enough to cover all breakage. So stock subcontractors also provided additional stocks.
