Century Inland M1 Carbine First time entry: I just got my Inland M1 Carbine from Century and I just have to comment that to them, GOOD must mean BEAT and FILTHY! And when I made my order over the phone, Herb didn't seem to know much if anything about his product for sale. Then, I got an urgent phone call late Friday saying that he had lost my C&I license info and that what they had was flying out the door. So I had to pay someone to fax him my license by Monday. Then I had to check with Herb to see if they got my info, and if the item was sent as they don't notify you in any way! I did finally get a response. It arrived one week later looking like it had been dragged behind a truck. In the future I'll give my money to better dealers. How about you?

Every report I have heard of Centurys carbines are of rusted, beat up junk. I cannot understand why anyone would take the chance with them when CMP's Inlands were the same price and in twice as good condition?

Understanding that everyone may not be an immediate qualifier for CMP purchases, it would be quite beneficial to work on it. The CMP normally will undergrade their weapons thereby benefitting the purchaser; you usually end up on the winning end. Additionally, these folks know their products and will work with you to resolve any issues you may have with them. I've never purchased a long gun from Century but have a couple handguns; I don't buy from them anymore. Need I say more? As for "Herb didn't seem to know much...". Unfortunately that is a huge on-going problem with doing business in the United States today. Sales staff are given a handbook from which to spout off information about the product to the customer...If it ain't in the book, they're lost.
