That is an interesting sight. It looks like it was originally an Inland. But then someone removed the leaf by filing the right side to remove the pin staking. Then the replaced the leaf with what appear to be an Underwood leaf. But there is something more. I can't make it out, but below the .U. on the square part of the axis of the sight, it looks like there may be additional letters. Look carefully with a magnifying lens. It almost appears like there could be remnants of a W-I there. And the pin itself looks like it was replaced. A lot has happened to that sight since it was made!

No other letters or markings, just scratches from toggling the sight on the spring. The right side has the S~ and the circle around the pin hole, and what appears to be a center punch dimple, but the left side has a very small square punch mark on the bottom of the hole, and a triangular punch mark to the right of the pin...

Well it does appear to be an original sight, but its a bit of a mongrel. I wouldn't have any problem using it on one of my carbines, but a lot of guys who are "elitists" would say its junk. Value-wise, its worth around $50 since it has seen some abuse. But that is still better than a repop.
