| Web sling markings Does any one know if M1 carbine web slings were marked N-S for National Postal Meter, and G-S for Standard products ? I know the WWll ones were dated, but I never knew that the carbine mfg. also made them...undated, but with the initals as stated above. Thanks in advance for the help. | I believe those marked with an S were all manufactured by Schleigel Manufacturing. Not certain I have the spelling correct. There was also an SS-2 made for Std. N.P.M. also used SM Co./1943 and I.B.M. used either I.B.M. or 1944 on some of theirs.
