Anyone ever shoot and Auto Ordnance M1

Can anyone tell me if its worth buying an Auto Ordnance M1 Carbine? I have the Auto Ordnance Thompson 27-A1 Model T1 Deluxe. I think they did an excellent job on the Tommy gun and was wondering how they did on the M1 Carbine? (The Tommy gun is even more fun to shoot than the M1 Carbine).

The AO (Kahr) carbine has mixed reviews (of course) but I've talked to owners first hand and they seem to like the new kid on the block. They have a lack-luster when laying next to the old warhorse but seem to function fine. One poster on this site got one that had a loose gas piston nut...from the factory, yet.
Personally, however, I wouldn't lay out the $750 dealers are asking for when I can get a real-deal from CMP...but that's just me, I like the old carbines; they're more in my age group...lol. Heh, I may not buy one; but I wouldn't turn one down either if someone was to give me one of'em.
I read something about the sights but don't remember the full detail and a problem with chambering on some reports.
I would guess that any Tommy gun would be a blast.
It would be really nice to be able to take a test ride with a new firearm instead of having to buy on hear-say.

Must say I have an Inland and an AO. I shot the Inland once and put it away forever for its nostalgic value. The AO I shoot with glee. The thing is as accurate as the gun I shot expert with at PI in 1950.
