| M1 USGI Stock? Hi, I just started to collect M1 Carbine and Garand, Stocks. I have come across a M1 Carbine Stock that I can't Identify.. The person who sold it to me said it was USGI but I can't find it listed in Reisch's book. It may be a universal, but I not sure. It looks like a Type II, though the bottom of the stock has a rectangle cut out where the magazine and trigger go. I would appreciate any assistance in Identifying this piece of Wood. Here is a link to some photos. Slideshow of M1 Carbine? - Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting Image of Bottom M1 Type II - Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting |

| Looks like it is cut for the Universal trigger housing. I doubt that it is GI, but it could be a modified one.
