Question A good deal?

Hey fellas, tell me if you think this is an acceptable deal or not?
This is the internet ad from a local community site:

This rifle is manufactured by Underwood. Everything pictured is included. One thirty round magazine, 288 rounds of factory loaded ammunition, and an 30 cal. ammo can. $450.00 OBO

Looks pretty good,Underwoods are not rare, but not real common either. It isn't original, bayo lug and rear sight are later to this rifle,it has gone through a re-build at some time, stock looks like maybe birch, but it is an M1 stock. Slide looks to be later type. Price seems good to me. Maybe a bit of haggling room though. Good luck!

Thumbs up YA AIN'T GOT IT YET!!!!!

sounds like a deal to me. if your looking for a shooter, then don't worry about the pedigree. original, as first issued carbines are few and far between, they have been through the rebuild and update mills numerous times.

With the prices of carbines these days, I'd jump on it. Anything serviceable under $500 is a bargain.
